Some years ago I approached Fraser Valley filmmaker and friend Mitch Huttema with the idea for a short film: a confessional; a young man’s struggle with the chores set before him; a tragic comedy about the trappings of laundry.

new washing machine was a thrill to work on and, save for its lead actor (Vancouver’s Tyler Dealy) featured a cast and crew culled from within the Fraser Valley’s DIY-focused creative ecosystem.
